Automated Follow-Up Reminders Without Manual Chasing

ChangeEngine follow-ups let you schedule a reminder for someone who didn't complete a survey, didn't open an important email, or clicked a specific link. You choose when it goes out, plus the channel and sender, so you don't have to export non-openers, upload another segment, and schedule the message by hand.
What are follow-ups? They're a way to respond when someone didn't complete a survey or didn't open an important email.
What Manual Work Does a Follow-Up Replace?
Before ChangeEngine's follow-up feature, most clients checked Engagement Analytics to see who received a message and who didn't open it. They downloaded the list of non-openers, uploaded it to ChangeEngine as another segment, and scheduled the reminder again each time.
That loop can take hours out of your day. You may also chase people in person or through Slack, Teams, or SMS.
In the on-screen open enrollment example, the exported chase list contains 241 people and is already out of date the next day. The reminder is being prepared as the same message for the third time, from the same benefits sender and through the same email channel.
How Do You Set a Follow-Up?
A ChangeEngine follow-up sends one scheduled reminder after the original communication or survey. Choose a reason, such as not seen or a specific link clicked, then set the delay for three, five, or seven days after the recipient receives the original message, giving them another prompt to complete it in time.
You can choose the channel and sender, even if either differs from the original. The setup also shows the recipient's local time and an option to allow weekend sending. If the original send date changes, the delay stays offset from that communication.
Once you publish the follow-up, you don't have to remember to schedule that reminder by hand. That's the ChangeEngine set-and-forget idea: publish once instead of repeating the download, upload, and scheduling loop.
Frequently asked questions
What triggers a follow-up in ChangeEngine?
A follow-up can be set for a recipient who did not see an earlier message or who clicked a specific link. It can also address someone who did not complete a survey. You pick the reason and choose a delay of three, five, or seven days after the original communication or survey.
How does a follow-up replace manual non-opener chasing?
Instead of checking Engagement Analytics, downloading a non-opener list, uploading it as a new segment, and scheduling another message each time, you publish the follow-up once. That removes the repeated list work and the need to chase recipients in person or through Slack, Teams, or SMS.
