Challenges

As Bravely grew, the People Team needed a better way to keep employee communications timely, consistent, and aligned with company values. They wanted a reliable rhythm of updates, cultural moments, and lifecycle communications — but found that managing everything manually made it difficult to maintain quality and cadence.

Drafting internal messages often required multiple revisions and troubleshooting between Slack and email, especially when versions didn’t match or formatting broke. Last-minute requests appeared frequently, and during busier periods, the team needed extra support just to get communications out the door.

Combined with direct support on time-sensitive internal updates, ChangeEngine helped Bravely deliver more than a dozen employee messages in one month, ensuring their communications maintained an engaging and reliable rhythm.

Lifecycle programs for onboarding, birthdays, and anniversaries were also automated through ChangeEngine. This eliminated manual reminders and created a predictable, welcoming experience for every employee — one Bravely described as “seamlessly bringing them into our culture.”

One of the most meaningful collaborations was Bravely’s company off-site in Seattle, where ChangeEngine delivered a full-service content and communications package from end to end. This included:

  • A complete communications timeline (RSVP reminders, travel info, reimbursement guidance, childcare details, packing lists, and more)
  • A fully branded event microsite
  • Custom presentations, posters, swag, stickers, name tags, certificates, itineraries, and signage
  • On-site coverage from a professional videographer sent by ChangeEngine
  • A final, polished retreat employer-branding video
